skateparks cut crime: "Heres a story from BBC Scotland about Chick Mailey, who single-handedly built a skatepark in an old whiskey warehouse for the kids in Dumbarton (with no public funding).

A study by Strathclyde Police found that the park has reduced youth crime by 35%

Thinking about this 'Skatepark'.. I'm imagining a craply built "Half-pipe" with many a rusty nail sticking out, put together drunkenly, of course. I mean, come on.. Whiskey warehouse?
